The sun was shining and I put on my boots, grabbed my camera and went outside to capture a few moments.
I love this shadow on the snow. The snow was glistening and sparkly and like a million diamonds spread across my yard.
I made sure I got out before the dogs, so I was making the only footprints. And I enjoyed it. So peaceful.

A woman at Target last night told us that snowfall decreases the amount of germs in the air and helps people with allergies. I like to think that it wipes the slate clean. I could use that right now. An eraser that rubs out the mistakes we make and allows us to start fresh again. A refreshing of the spirit.

So, we threw a few snowballs, drove around the neighborhood, and I drank in the sights of a world washed clean. Like a present from heaven, the snow drifted in and lifted my mood, gave me rest, and washed a little grime off of my soul.
Happy snow day.

I am a woman with more questions than answers. I am constantly searching, learning, decorating, loving and muddling my way through this life. I live under His grace. I stray daily from my faith, my diet, the road, but never my husband. I could eat a whole dish of tiramisu and not feel guilty. I could knit a sweater with all the dog hair on my floor, if I swept it up, or knew how to knit. I am hanging on, holding out, and hoping for the best God has to offer.

glad someone enjoyed it! LOL
that blue sky is gorgeous up against the white.
What a neat analogy. The snow is beautiful and I loved the tree shadow picture.
I had to chuckle a bit that they canceled school for so little snow---but I'm from Idaho, where it takes subzero temps and snow up to our waists before they cancel :)!
Glad you recognized such a beautiful gift from heaven and shared it with us!
I am so jealous. The snow is BEAUTIFUL. I wish we could get a little of that down here in Florida.
I guess it's easier to enjoy all the snow when you don't see it very often! Up here in Chicago we've had enough!!
