This post will be filled with all sorts of random things that go together, sort of. Let's start with...
- The name. Well, I asked you all for help and didn't get many ideas. Then I thought about how I am obsessed with trees. And how these past couple of months have been a time of growing and stretching myself out in the Lord. Thus, "out on a limb" was born.
- That picture of me. My sweet husband who supports this blogging of mine was coerced into taking that photo. There is this really cool tree near a neighborhood park that has a natural bench built into it. See below.
We drive past it all the time and I thought it would be awesome to take my picture there and be "out on a limb" so we drove out there. Not even thinking about how high off the ground it would be or the fact that it isn't as close to the park as we thought. Or that even though I have lost 10 pounds and feel skinny in my head, Heidi Klum I am not. In this shot I was standing because I wasn't sure how to jump up on the limb as it was really bumpy and I couldn't shimy up in my shoes. Eventually we found a rock that gave me the extra 6 inches I needed to jump. Then we almost got attacked by geese with their little chicks. All for you all. And, oh my, you need to imagine the ones I didn't post and how silly I look.- The book drawing. You have until tomorrow afternoon to get it in. I will draw a name Wednesday night and post it on Thursday. Enter to win, folks.
- The aforementioned husband has his own blog now...Fantasy Geek. As he is a Fantasy Geek. He plays Fantasy Football and a host of other imaginary sports. His first post mentions me in a very good light. Check it out.
I think that's all I needed to mention. Who knows? If I think of something later, I will let cha know. I am in the midst of a project, so I must go work on it now. I will share the details later!
I am a woman with more questions than answers. I am constantly searching, learning, decorating, loving and muddling my way through this life. I live under His grace. I stray daily from my faith, my diet, the road, but never my husband. I could eat a whole dish of tiramisu and not feel guilty. I could knit a sweater with all the dog hair on my floor, if I swept it up, or knew how to knit. I am hanging on, holding out, and hoping for the best God has to offer.

ok, so who's feet and legs are that up in the tree? I loved your story about trying to get in the tree though. There are certain things we just lose our ability to do as we get older :)! (like cross the monkeybars....).
I LOVE your new design! I thought I'd come to the wrong blog at first. It fits you perfectly!!!
Looks so good! Love the new name! I totally relate with Jennifer P's comment about the monkey bars. Wesley and I go to the park a lot and I make jubilant attempts only to fail miserably at crossing them.
I LOVE IT!
It's so sweet - and I just love all the tree vocab. And your new profile. And...and everything. It's always fun to have a new look (wink, wink)!
God Bless!
Karin
your blog design is great! i love it.
thank you for your kind comments today.
Sissy! It is stunning. I mean stunning. And the name. Oh the name. It is so perfect. It is so illustrative of so many things you blog about. It is just brilliant, and I am so genuinely excited for you!
I said it yesterday, but I'll gush again. It's just so fresh and professional and perfect. That is a very cool tree!!
That is so funny...I love how our husbands humor us as we go out to get pictures for our blog. Like when I had to go to Target and get steaks to cook so that I had a picture of him cooking on the grill for a blog post :-)
Love the new title and LOVE the new look!
That is a funky limb. Love the tree theme
