Indy Spoilers....and my new love for Iron Man

If you are thinking about going to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull-DON'T. It was horrible. SO horrible. All I have to say is one word: ALIENS.

Yup, you got that right. Aliens. Aliens in the Amazon with Indiana Jones...who most people in the movie call Henry. I couldn't even believe it when they pulled out the skull and it was shaped like what you would imagine any alien skull would be shaped like. I kept saying to myself "please no aliens, please no aliens" but there it was: Aliens. And their spaceship.
Oh, and there's more. Indy survived a nuclear bomb in the first 10 minutes. Seriously. He was accidentally in a test site, hid in a refrigerator and survived. The rest of the town was obliterated into dust, but the refrigerator was thrown sky high and bounced around some and then Indy walked away fine.

But, there was a highlight to my day. We had a double feature, and saw Iron Man next. Now, that was the movie of the spring. It should make tons of money and should spawn many sequels. It is well-written, well-acted, and so cool. The toys and technology and humor in the movie are so sleek and fun. Robert Downey Jr. is excellent in this movie. He and Gwyneth Paltrow are so fun together and he has two robot friends that are amusing.

I now have renewed my crush on Robert Downey Jr. I had one along time ago when he was on Ally McBeal and was so McDreamy. I think he might have been the original McDreamy, if it hadn't been for the drug problem. But now I am free to love him again because he is cleaned up and saving the world from terrorists. And all muscle-y and looking good in the red suit.

I guess the best part of the day was that my husband and I spent the whole day together. We started with some quiet time in the morning, went to a movie, shopped around a little, had lunch, and then went to another movie. We shopped, ate, laughed, and held hands. It was a really nice day. Have I mentioned that my husband is the sweetest man? He really is. He doesn't mind my boyfriend David Cook or my crush on Robert Downey Jr. He is secure in my love for him and our small family.

Saturday was the best day for me...maybe notsomuch for Indy.

OK...we didn't make it to see Indy and now I'm kinda glad. But I totally loved Iron Man. RDJ is a superb action hero, huh?

And I love that your husband doesn't mind your crush, or that he doesn't mind that David Cook is your boyfriend. Scott and I each have a significant other...mine is, of course, Jason Statham...I believe I've mentioned him once or twice or 209 times on my blog! We are secure in our love for each other, so it's ok that I have Jason and he has Katherine Heigl. Seriously! This is what keeps our marriage happy, healthy, and another "h" word that I won't mention here. But it rhymes with "corny." Ha-ha-ha-ha.

Great post...The man and I went to see Iron Man this weekend too (our first date in...a while). I thought I was being all sacrificy to see it with him b/c he wanted to see it so badly. Well, surprise surprise! Guess who loved it?

Yeah. I did. It was awesomely awesome. And have I mentioned lately how happy I am that you found the husband you found? He is such a catch :) Perfect for you in every way.

I am so glad to know this because we've been debating on the Indy movie. It's getting such mixed reviews and when I heard about the aliens, I was surprised. It just didn't seem to fit.

I'm glad to know that Iron Man was good. Yeah, RDJ is aging quite nicely I must say. My friends and I went to see What Happens in Vegas and it was REALLY cute. A good love story.

It sound like you and your sweet hubby had a very nice day.

I can't help it that your review is totally wrong! But that's ok, you probably liked movies like "Signs." It's ok to have aliens there, but not here. And after watching the other three Indy movies there's nothing unbelievable in them, right?

Indy was a fun ride. You just have to accept that it's a movie. Plain and simple.

Why is it so much easier to believe a man in an iron suit can fly?

(But I do love debating this with Charlie! That's fun!)

Like the new layout by the way. It's cool.

I saw Indy too. I did enjoy it but the whole alien thing was a BIT much; I have to agree there. I think we all should go out and buy Huge lead-lined frigs! We might need them someday. lol
