Today is my day as the featured blogger on SITS. Thanks for coming over and checking out my little neighborhood. It's quite comfy here, even though it is POURING as we speak. But, curl up, grab a cup of steaming chai tea and read about my silly life.
Other than the big feature today, I appreciate all your love with my randomness the other day. The first week of school is always really draining. There is so much going on and I never feel like I get it all done. Plus, this afternoon, I need to shop for Mom's birthday present and order a cake. There isn't much time to get it all done.
On the bright side, my mom is cooking dinner.
Having my mom live with me does have it's perks. It's like having a wife to come home to who already put dinner in the oven, ironed my pants, and swept the floor. She says this is her way of paying rent.
I have introduced her to Target, Bones, and Stephenie Meyer. Now, she hasn't actually picked up a Twilight book, but I am sure it isn't far away. I told her all about Edward and Bella and told her the entire story of the Host (which I finally read, and it rocks!) So, we're each getting something out of this arrangement.

I am a woman with more questions than answers. I am constantly searching, learning, decorating, loving and muddling my way through this life. I live under His grace. I stray daily from my faith, my diet, the road, but never my husband. I could eat a whole dish of tiramisu and not feel guilty. I could knit a sweater with all the dog hair on my floor, if I swept it up, or knew how to knit. I am hanging on, holding out, and hoping for the best God has to offer.

I could not live with my mom. I love her, and I would love to have her cooking abilities, but she'd drive me up a wall! She constantly thinks the lil' one is dying of SOMETHING, I'm just not a good enough mother to take her to the doctor every day and find out what it is!!! Glad it's working for you, though!

Yay! It's so fun to be the featured blogger. And I have my mom living with us too. It's wonderful to pretend to be a princess when she does all the laundry and ironing. And watches the kiddos so that my hubby and I can have a date night.

I just bought the first two books of the Twilight series and let my twin read the first book on our vacation. Her husband shoved it in his backpack and the cover got all bent up at the corner *sniff*. I haven't read it yet but she's already finished with it so I'm going to steal it back and only let her borrow the second book if she promises not to let her husband touch it! :)

I would so love to have my mom living with me! I used to only live 15 minutes from her and loved being able to go there for dinner every night. Now she is 3 hours away, which means fast food for my family. lol
